Shower for Baby V

Man, I hope you guys had a great weekend because I definitely wouldn't want to hog a great weekend all to myself... but it was seriously a great weekend.

The lovely women here in Saranac Lake threw the sweetest baby shower for Baby #2 on Saturday.

It's had to believe that, in my lifetime, I've had two baby showers now. Does that make me old? Both the baby shower for Abilene and the baby shower for Baby #2 have been such a blessing. The people the hubs and I have known over the past 5 years in various parts of the country have loved us so well in so many ways.

There are a ton of photos I missed but look at how cute of an atmosphere these ladies can create:

It's still so strange for me to imagine having a little man in the house but all the boy clothes help!

The food was amazing! Courtesy of Pinterest.

Raspberry Dark Chocolate Banana Bread. Oh my heavens.

The hubs HATES olives and I adore them so they included this lovely little bowl of happiness just for me.

And are you kidding me!? How awesome is that!? Erin is so crafty.

Abilene was there to join the fun and spread cupcake all over Megan's apartment (so sorry Megan).

I've finally been able to keep ponytails in Abilene's hair. Be still my heart.

Still can't keep things out of her mouth though. That's Erin's crafty-fruit-baby-hand
saving Abilene from consuming candle wax. Thanks Erin.

And the surprise of all surprises: All the ladies pitched in and got me over 30 weeks worth of fabric for Baby #2's future Weekly Photo Shoot!

I cannot tell you how amazing that is!
  1. Fabric, even inexpensive fabric, adds up over 52 weeks and Abilene's Weekly Photo Shoot didn't end up being cheap.
  2. We've now moved to a place where Jo-Ann, Hobby Lobby, Walmart and Michael's are all an hour away. Getting fabric each week wasn't going to be easy for me.
  3. Although I don't specifically know who picked out which fabrics, it will be so special every week to know that those ladies took time picking out each one just for Baby V.
I am seriously so blessed. While Baby V is still name-less (I know, I know. I promise we're working on it), he's definitely not lacking in the love department from our Saranac Family up here. So excited for whatever-his-name-is to meet everyone in just over a month!
