This whole blog thing
Well, hey there. Here it is. My first blog post. I have no idea what
to blog about but the husband thinks I would be good at it (let's be
honest, he's a little biased). He told me I should do this a long time
ago but I've been putting it off because, well, the blog world is
intimidating to me. Why? A number of reasons:
1) Commitment. If I have a blog, I should probably be committed to posting to it right? I have a 10 month old and another one due in July. The word "predictable" will not be in my schedule for at least the next 25 years. Do I really want to commit to something I'm not sure I can be committed to?
2) One of the things I love about blogs is the pictures. I definitely missed the picture taking train. However, I did jump on the "Wow, I should take a picture of that but my camera's all the way over there in the desk" train. How in the world to people take pictures of every step in their homemade pizza crust recipe!? That's a lot of in-between hand-washing...
3) I don't know how to do that "make a line go through your text like you scratched something out that you didn't want people to see and then it's automatically funny" thing. And I'm pretty sure that's a prerequisite.
BUT! Even with all those "glass-half-empty" thoughts running through my head. A blog is a blog. Done and done. I shouldn't be worried about those things! So I'm just going to see where this goes without stressing about what to post, whether or not I have enough pictures or if my fonts are cool enough for the rest of the (ginormous) blogging world.
So raise your ginger-ale-filled wine glass (I'm pregnant people, remember?) for a toast. Here's to blogging!
