Almost moved
So the hubs, Abilene and myself are all sick... again. I can't really blame the germs for taking advantage of us considering we've been "burning the candle at both ends" for about 6 weeks now. If I was a germ, I'd take advantage of us too. This transition process had been good but it's also been exhausting and our bodies are definitely ready to find "normal" again.
Barring nothing crazy happens, we are set to officially move in two days. That should give us a few days to unpack and hopefully a two day "weekend" to rest before the hubs has his first day of work. Oh, how I've been coveting that "weekend." It's like our finish line right now.
Young Life Field and Young Life Camping have opposite busy seasons. Young Life Field (which is what Brad has been doing) is busy throughout the school year. Young Life Camping (which is what Brad will be doing) is busy throughout the summer. So, this year, Brad's going from one busy season straight into another busy season. It will definitely be taxing and it will definitely be tough but, we're hoping, it will be what's best for our family in the long run. This first summer, I'm sure though, will be a doosey.
In the midst all this craziness however, we have so much to look forward too. We'll be surrounded by people we love and people that love us, we'll get to meet our new baby boy in July and the days that Brad does have off will be spent in the beauty of the Adirondacks. And that doesn't leave much room for complaining, that's for sure.
Two days and counting.
